Those big-hearted chaps at London-based bike clothing company Huez* have decided to ride up Alpe d’Huez for charity in April. This might seem reason enough to sponsor them but to complicate matters they will do it on Boris bikes.
They will hire the bikes from Angel docking station before slinging them in a van and getting the train over to France, conquering the mountain and getting back before they get fined for having the bikes out longer than 24 hours.
That’s one way to get people’s attention and is certainly worthy of a contribution towards their goal of raising £50,000 for the Stroke Association and The National Brain Appeal.
