If you're the type who gets excited by a bike tool, then this new torque wrench is going to make your jaw drop.
The T-Ratchet and Ti-Torque have been developed by Silca to offer a dependable tool with varying torque settings that will also fit in the back pocket of a jersey. As anyone with carbon components knows, this is a holy grail of multitools. The wrench comes with a selection of bits which should cover everything you need to adjust the bolts on your bike.
Silca have turned to Kickstarter to fund the tooling costs and machining of the T-Ratchet, and have received pledges of almost $240,000 on a $25,000 goal with (as of today) with 16 days left to run.
The Indianapolis-based company is known for producing precision tools for cyclists, but they come at a cost - their SuperPista Ultimate HIRO Edition track pump, for instance, retails at $500. The pumps are, however designed to "last a lifetime."
The brand began life in Milan, Italy in 1917 and was the first company to put gauges on pumps, the first to produce a true ‘high-pressure’ frame pump and the first to introduce CO2 canisters for inflating cycle tyres.
