It was a miserable Strava Bike to Work day in the capital, with steady, persistent rain throughout the morning rush hour and as we type coming up to midday, it's still raining.
It could have had something to do with this taxi ending up in the cycle superhighway at Blackfriars. No one said how you're supposed to take your bike to work, so why not put it in a taxi? Sod the rain.
We're at a loss to work out how the driver ended up in the cycle lane otherwise, and as yet the London Taxi Drivers' Association has yet to get back to us with a reply,
It could be some form of protest, since the LTDA in February lost a legal challenge against the £47m east-west route which it claimed was a breach of planning control.
Taxi drivers claim the route is causing major delays because of the amount of road space it has taken up.
